How do we know if students are learning? This module is designed to provide the background understanding and structure for a teacher to be able to find evidence of student learning in formative assessments in physics. We will identify, analyze, and design formative assessment strategies that can be applied in any science classroom, but will focus on physics examples within the content.
In this module, we offer you an opportunity to:
Identify whether formative assessments are embedded throughout instruction.
Elicit discrete, observable evidence of learning by students.
Provide ongoing feedback to students based on these assessments
